The Sugar
Lake Association plays an active, vibrant role in lake life. Over 80% of private lake property owners as well as many nearby property owners are SLA members. Many SLA members have served in leadership positions. Twenty percent of the approximately 350 members have served on the Board of Directors at one time or another during the past 14 years. Twenty-six members serve each year as Area Communicators, acting as SLA liaisons to the entire lake population. In addition, SLA members serve on committees, man a sheriff's water patrol, harvest milfoil and curly leaf pondweed and plant and maintain numerous shoreline restoration projects. The annual picnic, fishing contest, plant exchange, Diane's lights night, and special winter meeting all enrich the lives of SLA members.
Annual dues are $50. Download a Membership Form. Join today. Volunteer to help at the picnic or to work with lake neighbors on a shoreland restoration project. Become a part of this organization that helps to keep Sugar Lake the special place that it is.
